When selecting a grooming product, you are confronted with so much label information it can be overwhelming. Join Dale Sanson, Ph.D., as he explains what label callouts such as “Organic, Natural and Responsibly Sourced” actually mean and what regulations are in place for consumer protection. He will also cover PFAs (forever chemicals) and if you should be concerned that they could be in your grooming products. How to use information from the US EPA, FDA, Fair Trade Act, the National Organic Council, and other regulatory organizations when interpreting media and label claims on grooming products will also be discussed.
A large number of statements used in social media for grooming product placement, such as hypoallergenic and preservative-free are incorrect and can increase the impact of your groomer business. As a business owner, you want to use knowledge to select all your supplies and minimize risks. Highlights will attempt to educate you and your pet parents, so you have the proper responses when asked about these topics in your business.
